Recession

I don’t bother much about economy and politics. I hardly have anything to say. But I must say I find the (Norwegian) media’s conclusions rather … conflicting.

The last few weeks I’ve seen these headlines among many other similar:

«Foreigners the first ones to get fired»
«People with disabilities/chronic conditions the first ones to get fired»
«Temps the first ones to get fired»
«Oldies the first ones to get fired»
«Inexperienced people the first ones to get fired»
…I think you get the point.

And these are mainly from the same source.

So, guys, are they letting all go at once, or does it just count as «the first» as long as the management is left untouched?

old, inexperienced, foreign tempworkers with disabilities and chronic conditions are the first to get fired. Granted this sounds like a rather small social group at first, but you’d be surprised how many there actually are and how much we need them to keep society going.
